Mom looks good. She is alert and can hold your hand and squeeze it. She will look right at you when you talk to her. She will shake and nod her head. So you can carry on a 1 1/2 sided conversation. We've been in to see her a couple of times today. She is happy to see us when we come in. Dad, Jenny, Stacie, Bonnie & Brian, Cliff & Betty, Gladys & Heather Ware have been here, too.
Keep the faith
7:30am
I just spoke with Randy. He said mom is looking BETTER this morning. Her oxygen is down to 40% - meaning they are only feeding her 40% oxygen in the ventilator, and her pep is down to 9 (Something?? External Pressure - the pressure at which they are pushing the oxygen - I believe). It was at 12 and then 14, so this is good, meaning that her lungs are less hard. She was awake and was understanding what he was saying to her. She is still sedated, and she will still be intubated for the next couple of days...at least. This is great news, but it's still just baby steps. We are hoping that everying will fast today (family) and the ward has been asked to fast sometime between today and Sunday. Keep praying and keep that faith strong and steadfast. Randy said you can call him if you have questions. He has his phone with him. He is working at IMC today (mom's hospital). I will be at the hospital again today. I'm heading to the office first, to pick up some things. Call me if you have questions. Love to you all,Sandy
