Update: Sunday 1/11 10am
Mom is improving (baby steps - remember). She is back to a normal sinus rhythm (heart beat) and her heart rate is back down between 70-80 (really good). She was sitting up this morning, for about an hour, and even got in a shower! That must have felt wonderful and exhausting at the same time. Her doctor, Dr. Goddard, said she is looking better - making progress.
She is still on a blow-by mask at 70% oxygen and her oxygen stats are at 90%. A blow by mask is just one of those masks that fit tightly to the face.
They were starting the plasmapheresis, so she will be taking a nice little nap during that. They give her bendaryl to start the process.
She loves and wants visitors..within moderation. 4th floor respiratory icu - you still need to request entry by pushing the "little black button." She is in room 405.
Thank you for your prayers and fasting. She's going to get through this.
Keeping the faith......
