Sitting here with mom, dad, Sophie, Jenny, Curt, Braden, Rylie and Kacy. Yes, we all have masks on. The kids think it's the coolest thing. What a sight! Arent't they the cutest?

Mom looks pretty good. She's staying in bed today. She is having a few fresh pints of blood pumped into her. Her hemoglobin is low. She hasn't gotten up to walk. Mostly because she's so weak, and she's fallen three times now. She's afraid she's going to fall now, so she's a little apprehensive about walking. So, they decided to give her some blood to help give her a boost and get that blood count back up.

She's not eating much, if anything, today. Her stomach is really bloated and she just doesn't want anything.

My two cents on the food & eating issue: Mom doesn't need to be hounded about eating. She knows she needs to eat, and wants to. But, something is wreaking havoc in her bowels and makes it very difficult for her to eat. She gets nauseous and is so bloated that she is in pain. So, might I suggest that we don't try to "help" her eat anymore and maybe not even bring it up, either. I think she really just needs positive support and encouragement....and no discussions on her eating habits right now.

I showed her her blog and she Loved it! She loved the comments you all left for her too!

She's had wonderful visits from so many family and friends. She's thankful to all of you who stop by to visit her. Her nurses tell her that she has the most visitors they've ever seen in the hospital. She's very popular. I just say that she has so many people who love her!

Well, the dialysis folks just came in, so we're going to head out.

More to come.....
