Jean Elaine Harman Bready passed away peacefully on October 4, 2009 at the age of 77 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on December 19, 1931 to Leonard and Lucy Rawson Harman in Granger, Utah. She married Robert E. Bready on September 17, 1952. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake City Temple on April 15, 1953.
A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Jean served in the presidencies of the Primary, Young Women, and Relief Society organizations and was a temple worker in the Jordan River Temple. She also served a two year service mission in the Church Office Building as an accounting clerk. She treasured her Relief Society sisters and the love they shared performing service for their sisters and others. Jean was also an avid reader of the scriptures.
She is survived by her husband Robert; children, Robert (Lori) Bready, Randall (Gladys) Bready, Brian (Kelly) Bready, Sharon (Rob) Davis, Jon (Stacie) Bready, Michael (Heather) Bready, Sandra Bready, Jennifer (Curt) Norman; 25 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; sister, Bonnie DeHaan; brothers, Leonard, Clifford, Stephen and Joseph Harman. Preceded in death by an infant son, Burke (1965), her parents and sisters, Cleo and Beverly.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 10th at 12:00 Noon at the Pepperwood Chapel, 2195 East Pepperwood Drive, Sandy. A Viewing will be held Friday, October 9th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 So., Sandy, and at the Ward on Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.
